Dumisani Nomagugu Nkala is the Managing Director of Telecontract (Telco), a multi-generational family business and a leading provider of telecommunications and digital transformation services in Zimbabwe. Founded in 1991, Telco has built an extensive optical fibre network, with Points of Presence (POPs) in 23 major cities and towns, enabling high-speed internet and enterprise connectivity solutions. Under Dumisani’s leadership, Telco has expanded its service portfolio beyond connectivity to include cutting-edge digital transformation solutions and smart solar technologies, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and climate action.

With over 20 years of experience in the Southern African telecommunications industry, Dumisani has worked across South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. She was a founding member of the South African Telecommunications Service Providers Association (SATSPA) in 2010 and played a pivotal role in establishing the Blockchain Association of Zimbabwe in 2017. She is an active member of the Zimbabwe Internet Access Providers Association (ZIAPA) Secretariat and a multi-award-winning industry leader, including the Women in ICT Award 2024, conferred by Zimbabwe’s Ministry of ICT.

Dumisani holds an MBA (with distinction) from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, and a Bachelor of Business Science in Information Systems (Honours) from the University of Cape Town.
